How to choose the right workwear T-shirt

The best custom workwear T-shirt depends on how it will be worn, how frequently it will be washed and whether you want your logo printed or embroidered. A lightweight T-shirt may be ideal for indoor teams and summer use, while a heavier garment generally provides a more substantial feel for everyday workwear.

Cotton and polycotton T-shirts

Cotton T-shirts are soft, comfortable and breathable, making them a popular choice for casual uniforms, promotional events, retail teams and indoor working environments. Polycotton garments combine cotton with polyester, helping the T-shirt hold its shape and withstand frequent washing. They are often a practical choice for trades, warehouses, cleaning teams and other busy workplaces.

Lightweight or heavyweight fabric?

Lightweight T-shirts are comfortable in warm environments and work well as an underlayer beneath sweatshirts, fleeces or jackets. Heavier T-shirts usually feel more structured and can be better suited to daily uniforms where durability and a more substantial finish are important.

The correct choice is not always the thickest garment. Staff working indoors or in active roles may prefer a lighter and more breathable T-shirt, while customer-facing teams may prefer a heavier style with a more premium appearance.

Printed or embroidered logos?

DTF printing is suitable for detailed, colourful logos and larger designs. It works particularly well for back prints, promotional graphics, event shirts and designs containing gradients or fine detail.

Embroidery creates a textured and professional finish and is commonly used for company logos on the left or right chest. It is particularly suitable for uniforms, tradespeople and customer-facing teams. Very fine details or small text may need to be simplified before embroidery to ensure the finished logo remains clear.

Choosing the correct logo position

A left-chest logo is the most common choice for branded workwear because it is visible without dominating the garment. Right-chest logos can be used for names, qualifications or secondary branding. Larger printed designs can be added to the back, while sleeves can be used for additional logos or short text.

Ordering for a team

You can mix available sizes and colours of the same T-shirt model within an order, which makes it easier to outfit an entire team. Before ordering, check the individual product size guide because measurements can vary between brands and garment styles.

Bulk discounts start from 4 items of the same product, with available sizes and colours counting together. Different T-shirt models do not combine towards the discount. Eligible discounts apply to both garments and printing or embroidery, excluding one-time logo setup fees.

Our normal production time is approximately 3–7 working days after the artwork has been approved. Larger orders or specialist garments may require additional time, and we will advise you before production begins.
